I would be interested in buying 2 of those. one to tour with (the stage presence would be awesome) and one for an at home display as an art piece.

I just realized I have ALL of the necessary components to build one of these laying in my closet!

*runs to closet and grabs NES, guitar neck, dremel tool, and soldiering gun*

i didnt expect it to have nearly the quality of tone that it has. props!

crickettitties October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

Your != You’re

Awesome. So, is that an actual NES for the body or a piece of wood made to look like it. I wouldn’t have thought a plastic body would be able to withstand the string tension. Also, how is the neck attached?

Oh my god… I don’t even play guitar, but I would learn to just for the soul purpose of using this guitar to play video game themes! THIS IS THE AWESOMEST GUITAR EVER!!

obusco October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

Tano76 October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

Zero1216 October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

am i allowed to watch this much awesome? i dont think i am. ill be right back.

threeyears October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

This video would have been much better if he actually knew how to play those fucking songs. Why build a Nintendo guitar if you are just going to rape those tunes? It’s not like they are hard.

The cartridge headstock looks huge and the tuning peg set up with string tree looks awkward. I would have preferred a NES controller for the head stock. Would have allowed for a 3×3 tuning peg set-up, ala Gibson.

good work. now it’s time to invest in a metronome…

davemasterx October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

Sorry to be a douche, but rublind is correct, it isn’t system of a down, I believe it is actually a band called “Rabbit Joint”

rublind October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am

That Zelda song is not by System of aDown. FYI.

DTa0 October 21, 2009 at 7:44 am
